The 2016 RYVA conference a uniquely crafted celebration of African literary and cultural arts holds in Port Harcourt this November. RYVA 2016 aims to inspire the African society to explore literary platforms to share and amplify the many stories and faces of Africa and challenge the negative stereotypes binding the continent and her people.
RYVA 2016 is themed REWRITEAfrica! and is expected to attract over 300 writers, literary enthusiasts and book lovers in three key sessions including: RYVA Boot Camp (two powerful and practical writing and publishing/social media workshops), the Author Connect Hub (facilitating the connection between writers and literary agents, publishers and writing coaches), un-SILENCED (a trans-continental documentary of real life African stories).

RYVA 2016 will to train 200+ authors and connect more than 150 aspirant authors to publishing opportunities with over 200 submissions to 20+ literary agents from the United States, publishers, charity literacy projects like WorldReader Africa, other literary and online magazines and self-publishing and digital options.
